Hey! Thanks for checking out my blog. My name is Joe Hurst and I’ve been a dog lover as long as I can remember.
My family always had a dog in the house and we’d spend lots of time outdoors with them and other friends dogs.
When I left University there was only one career choice for me, and that was working with these furry friends! So I decided to learn everything I could about dog behaviour, nutrition, breeds, training & agility. You name it I’ve studied it.
Why I Started Dog Tips
Working with clients and their animals has been a passion of mine for many years, however, reaching just a few local clients each day really limits how much I can distribute my knowledge.
So I took to the internet and decided a blog was the best way to help as many people as possible, in the quickest way possible. What’s even better than that is you could be reading this with your breakfast cereal, whilst sat on the loo, or after a particular event with your dog that you need to know how to fix.
What Can You Expect?
With so many topics to cover when it comes to dog ownership and care, as you can imagine, getting all of that information online will take some time.
So I’ll be covering some of the more popular topics first, such as puppies nipping, toilet training, puppy nutrition etc before moving onto the other topics such as on-the-lead training, obedience, agility training etc.
The best way to interact with this site is to use the category navigation bar across the top. If you’re looking for a something specific please feel free to use the search icon which is also in the menu bar.
What to do Next?
First off I’d love for you to join our Facebook community by clicking here. It’s a new community, but we’re getting more and more dog owners each week joining and interacting.
It’s a great place to ask questions and get support from other like-minded owners. If you have a question you can ask about it on Facebook and I (or the community) will be sure to help you out.
PLUS…if it’s a question I see reoccurring, I will likely cover that topic with its own blog post!
I also have a 100% FREE Newsletter that I send out weekly. It contains super-helpful content for dog owners to help with everything from puppies to older pets.
We also have a few other social channels where we share our articles, cute pics and helpful tips:
